We are Missionaries of Jesus

Light in the Darkness Foundation is at work in Quito, Ecuador. The ministry serves children who are at risk of being trafficked and provides a place to learn about true love, which is the love of Jesus Christ. Current operations include an education center where the children have access to computers and internet to complete their schooling requirements. We provide a campus pastor, tutors, psychological care, medical care assistance, breakfast and lunch for the children and their families.

Mission

Luz en Tinieblas / Light in the Darkness shares the love and gospel of Jesus Christ with children and their families who are at a high risk of being exploited through human trafficking in Quito. The Foundation provides a safe place for the children to come and receive the Gospel of Jesus Christ, discipleship, education assistance, medical assistance, psychological counseling, hot meals and other social services.

Vision

We are committed to provide the best opportunities to improve the health and welfare of children at risk, living in impoverished areas of Quito, to prevent them from becoming victims of human trafficking. We share the Gospel and disciple them, praying that they become instruments for the Kingdom of God that one day will share Christs’ love with others.

Dan  and Gina Weston came to Ecuador in 2018 to work in the fight against human sex trafficking. After seeing the needs of the people in Quito, they have worked to establish a non – profit foundation with the focus of preventing children and young adults from entering the trafficking world.
